I’m sorry I fell behind on sharing my reads with you. December was a mess and it’s only now I feel like I can get back to my sort of normal routine with you. I didn’t read too much sadly but one book was a real stand out over the holidays.

It’s not something I would normally read, but the blurb and the teasers made me preorder and I’m so glad I did.

Why did the Alien Cross the Galaxy? To find a Fake Boyfriend and befriend a vacuum cleaner.

Listen, funniest book I’ve read in a long time. Vix is an alien so excited to visit earth for research. He packs a suitcase, hates wearing hats and seems to think vacuums need to be dressed up to attend Christmas parties. He also thinks he’s prepared to mix with earthlings because he’s studied sit coms and movies.

His inappropriate yet innocent remarks in what should be normal conversation had me laugh crying. This book made me forget I was sad and that’s a huge thing for me.

Have you ever watched the old TV shows, Mork & Mindy or Perfect Strangers? Take those two and smash them together and it’s this book.

And if you’re wondering about alien sex, there’s not a lot but the few scenes included are incredibly creative and erotic.

I just really loved this book and I’m happy I took the chance to read something a little out of my comfort zone.

I highly recommend this book if you need a smile on your face.
